Metformin.  Ahh the old standby.  Everyone is on metformin, or at least every pre diabetic and type 2 diabetic is on it. I have often wanted to stop taking it, just to see if my numbers would change at all.  I could understand taking it when I was also on glipizide because of the whole combination effect.  But now I am only on metformin.  I will probably stop taking it soon to see what happens. I have a feeling that nothing will happen to my numbers.
